Producer, musician, composer

Andy Jenks (aka Andy Spaceland) is a producer, musician, composer and DJ based in Bristol UK.

After he left art school (where Brian Eno was his examiner), he moved to Bristol and immediately involved himself in Bristol bass music culture, firstly joining Statik Sound System on Cup of Tea Records, then his band Alpha signed to Massive Attack’s Melankolic label. Alpha toured with Massive Attack in the UK and Europe, and collaborated with and/or remixed many other acts, including Madonna, Coldplay, Horace Andy, Silent Poets and Robert Plant. Andy also became one of Massive Attack’s tour DJ’s on the Mezzanine tour, playing across Europe and the US.

Since leaving Alpha, he has become a collaborator and writer/producer on many projects. He is a member of the band 5 Billion in Diamonds with LA producer Butch Vig (Nirvana, Garbage), has released underground dance music on DJ Die’s ‘Gutterfunk’ label with White Bully, DJed for and remixed Elizabeth Fraser (The Cocteau Twins), is collaborating with Mark Stewart (The Pop Group) on his new album, and is releasing a hip hop LP in July 2021 as Ree-Vo, with Bristol rapper Relly.

He works out of Christchurch Studios in Bristol for Bristol Old Vic, creating sound design and composing music for film, radio and theatre.
