Tasit is an open-ended musical project driven by Daniel Maldonado Jr.

Born in Texas and raised in Mexico, Daniel grew up influenced by the predominant popular culture of both countries. As a musician and performer, Daniel has always found himself in between the collision of different genres, like pop, folk, rock, electronic, traditional, and experimental.

As a songwriter, his lyrics deal with themes of self-discovery, relationships, doubt, and spiritual redemption.

Tasit stems out as the recording version of ‘tasit.turno’: an alternative live looping act characterized by electronic drums, dreamy synths, and vocal loops.
