Lynz, originally from Buffalo, New York, is a 22-year-old artist, performer, and songwriter producing out of her bedroom studio. Lynz attended the GRAMMY Music Foundation’s GRAMMY Camp in Los Angeles, where she was one of two women selected across the United States for audio engineering. Lynz also studied music production under Doug Fenske at Cre8 Music Academy through Westlake Studios (The Weeknd, Rihanna, Michael Jackson) in West Hollywood.
Self-produced by Lynz, “waiting” is her most infectious indie synth-pop song yet. Written about the trials of internet friendships turning into long-distance relationships, “waiting” is a quirky, bubbly, synth-pop single ripe for her fanbase.
“Is anybody waiting on you?” is the central theme repeated through the song. Lynz shares, “waiting is really about falling in love with your best friend and hoping they’re not in love with someone else at the same time.”
You can catch Lynz streaming every Friday at 7pm EST, and she will be releasing singles throughout the rest of 2021. Lynz is currently running a merch raffle for those who pre-save “waiting” on Spotify here.
