Travie grew up on the Southside of Chicago in Englewood. Son of a former singer, music was his blanket. From school choirs to Tap dance classes on Saturdays, Travie wanted to be an artist. After study Musical Theatre and Commercial Music in College, Travie started his journey as a independent artist. Writing and Producing music at home, figuring out what his sound is and how to make it honest but fun. First LITMAS, his Christmas album featuring over 33 singers gained buzz, Travie released Chapters. Finally knowing what he wanted to do, Travie rereleased Chapter [Deluxe] and shortly after that Scrapbook [Deluxe]. Black & Blues was released July 17th 2020 and is a modern R&B album fusing electronic element with Blues and Funk.
In early 2020, Chicago producer Brad Kemp approached Travie with the idea of writing a staged musical/concert type show. Travie immediately began writing to Brad’s incredible music, but after Covid hit, the staged product was shelved and the music became an album. Come-Back was released in Fall 2020 and received a lot of great attention.
Moving in 2021, Travie is re-inspired and ready to dance away the stresses that 2020 brought on. His first song from his next solo project titled Happy Funk Drunk drops January 29th and it features Chicago rappers Chore Boy and J-Bose, and soul rock vocalist Koray Tarhan.
